1. Barbless hook only.

2. Catch and release only.

3. Max hook size 8.

4. No sea rods or reels soft tip rods or poles etc only.

5. No boiles , bloodworm , joker.white bread

6. Landing nets must be used at all times no keepnets only in matches.

7. No alcohol.

8. No open fires on the bank.

10. Any angler caught mistreating any fish will be banned from the lake.

11. Max line 15lb.

12. The use of lift jackets is advised.

13. No fish to be lifted over waste height.

14. Any fish being photographed must be placed over 

Unhooking mat etc...

Oaklands Coarse Angling Club Fixtures 2015

 

 

 

All membership must be paid on or before the first match €40 seniors €20 juniors.

You must fish in at least 4 matches to compete in the master angler.

All river matches are may be changed due to weather conditions a we will decide

a week before if so.

Next Club match will  be held @ Oaklands on Sunday 14th Feb

Draw 9.30 am Fishing 11.00am to 4.00pm.

All new and old members welcome also non members can fish.

sorry for any inconvenience. 

The latest open match on Sunday 13th the fishing was veryhard. An easterly wind didn't  help matters blowing down the lake.Rubin Beatles came out on top with 33lb from peg 18 on the top island peg. He caught his carp tight to the island on the method feeder. However the Munster league match produced better weight on the other side of the lake with Tommy Lowton from Formoy CAC top weight with 44kgs from end peg 58.

It was a great start to the match fishing year at Oaklands last Sunday 14th February. Great weight's for the time of year with mostly carp being caught but also some good tench roach rudd perch and hybrids. Young Thomas Quinalin came out on top with a great bag of 114lb catching steady all day at 13mt. Danny Murphy was not to far behind with 104 lb from peg 9
